Salivary Inflammatory Mediators in Cancer Diagnosis

چکیده
Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide; it can be successfully treated in early stages. Screening for cancer should performed safe, accurate, cost-effective, and non-invasive techniques therefore achieved patient convenience. The salivary diagnosis could a promising era oncological fields, which have some correlations with serum biomarkers certain cancers. In this paper, we reviewed detecting different cancers their origins [genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, proteomics, microbiota].

Dual role of inflammatory mediators in cancer
Inflammation is the body's response to noxious stimuli such as infectious, physiological or chemical agents, it releases various inflammatory mediators via immune cells such as neutrophils, macrophages, and lymphocytes. These inflammatory mediators are growth factors, chemokines, and cytokines. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitrogen species (RNS) activate transcriptional factors (NF-KB, STA...

متن کاملInterplay between Cellular and Molecular Inflammatory Mediators in Lung Cancer
Inflammation is a component of the tumor microenvironment and represents the 7th hallmark of cancer. Chronic inflammation plays a critical role in tumorigenesis. Tumor infiltrating inflammatory cells mediate processes associated with progression, immune suppression, promotion of neoangiogenesis and lymphangiogenesis, remodeling of extracellular matrix, invasion and metastasis, and, lastly, the ...
متن کاملInflammatory mediators in wound healing.
This article provides much evidence that the inflammatory process has direct effects on normal and abnormal wound healing. As better understanding develops for the mechanism for these outcomes, targeted proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory interventions are likely to be successful. When inflammation is maintained as a regulated and orchestrated response, effective and normal wound healing is l...
متن کاملInflammatory mediators of pain.
While sensory fibres normally respond to a range of physical and chemical stimuli their activity and metabolism are profoundly altered by a variety of mediators generated by tissue injury and inflammation. These include substances produced by damaged tissue, substances of vascular origin as well as substances released by afferent fibres themselves, sympathetic fibres and various immune cells. T...
